Best essential oils for your skin
When it comes to essential oils, there is a lot of misinformation out there. People think that using them directly on your skin is safe and beneficial, but that’s not always true. Essential oils should be applied to the body with caution in order to avoid irritation and possible allergic reactions. But don’t worry! There are many ways you can use these wonderful oils without having issues down the road. In fact, I have six favorite essential oils that can help you achieve healthier-looking skin! Let’s get started!
Cinnamon Leaf Oil
Cinnamon leaf oil is a great choice for your skin. It's especially useful for those with acne-prone skin, as it's an astringent that helps reduce inflammation and irritation. If you have sensitive skin, cinnamon leaf oil can be diluted with almond oil or jojoba oil to make the blend easier on your face.
Cinnamon leaf is also effective when used on hair to treat dandruff or other scalp irritations. It's even been shown to be beneficial when used in shampoo and conditioner recipes! You may want to dilute this essential oil before using it on your hair so that it doesn't dry out too much; consider mixing it with other nourishing oils like coconut or argan oils, which will give added benefits without negating the results of cinnamon leaf's antioxidant properties (which are quite high).
If you want fresh breath without sugary mints or breath strips, cinnamon leaf is another option for freshening up after eating garlic or onions—or even just drinking coffee! Peppermint oil
Peppermint oil is amazing with all of its benefits! Peppermint Oil is an anti-inflammatory, a natural antiseptic, and a natural analgesic.
In addition to being beneficial on its own as an essential oil, peppermint can be used in combination with other essential oils to create a variety of skin care benefits. For Example Peppermint Oil has many benefits when combined with Clove Oil. It’s great for making your own soaps or using in homemade lotion recipes because it helps open up the pores and encourage blood flow to the area where it’s applied.
There are many ways you can use peppermint oil for your skin—you can put some drops on with a cotton ball or spray it directly onto the affected area before bedtime to get relief from symptoms like cold sores or acne blemishes.
Lavender oil
Lavender oil is fantastic for your skin. It can be used in a variety of ways, including as an all-over body moisturizer or as a spot treatment for breakouts. It's also great for dry skin and eczema, especially if you mix it with coconut oil and apply it to your face every night before bed. Be sure to use a sunscreen in the morning!

If you're new to using essential oils, it's best to start with a diluted version. The best carriers i have found through my own mixing is.... jojoba oil, coconut oil or olive oil to dilute the essential oil before applying on your skin.
The best way to apply an essential oil is by massaging it into the skin using circular motions. Massage helps the body absorb nutrients and increase blood flow i have found it also feels really good!
